The dual cutaways along with the contoured neck heel provide unobstructed access right up to the 24th fret. The frets have plenty of life left in them and the Hipshot hardware feels rock solid. The Bartolini pickups have a rich and powerful low end, punchy mids and articulate highs.
The active/passive switch allows you to take the active EQ out of the circuit when a more traditional passive tone is required. The 3-band EQ is broad and musical sounding, with each pot resting at unity in its dipped middle position, allowing you to both boost and cut each frequency. Machine Heads - Hipshot Open Gear.
Pickups - x2 Bartolini MK1. Luthier Report by Adam North Guitars.Headstock- The face and rear of the headstock are in very good condition as are the sides. There is some light marking to the top edge with some light wear to the edges and a scuff marking visible.
There is no truss rod cover although this does not affect the instrument function. Neck- The neck is in very good condition offering a smooth playing surface. The wood has the grain and pores visible which make it difficult to distinguish any markings to the neck.Body- The front of the body has some stickers on the guitar which are visible in the listing photos. There appears to be some indents around the treble side cutaway, other markings are well hidden with the finish and wood grain. The sides show some light indents most notably to the side where the controls are based and lesser so to the opposing side. The rear is in very good condition with any markings well hidden again by the wood type and the finish.
No or little Indentation - Very Light playing wear. Truss Rod & Bridge- Fully Functional and can be adjusted. Height of the string from the 12th Fret- 2.5mm bass 2mm treble. Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height. The setup is adjustable to preference by the new owner. The bass when played harshly can rattle at the bridge so in my opinion does suit a lighter playing style. Strings on Guitar- 45 - 100. Electrics are in full working order. The guitar is in excellent condition overall with some light aesthetic markings which although noticeable, do not detract from the overall aesthetic of the instrument. There may be other light markings visible which are not immediately apparent hence the omission from the report.
The frets show very light playing wear with some marking to the top of the fret although this is not significant and does not affect playability. The setup can be adjusted to preference and the electrics are in full working order. We are a Manchester based retailer specialising in guitars and accessories.
